SCHUBERT: “FIERRABRAS”
Schubert Festival 2024
Opera | Choral music | Classic | Concert | Festival | 8+ | Young people | Adults
Fierrabras, Schubert’s most important operatic work, tells the story of five young people who are bound together by ties of love and friendship. They are of different social ranks, but are all the offspring of rulers who are sworn enemies.
This semi-concertante performance is the first opportunity for a Vienna audience to hear this music since Claudio Abbado’s brilliant production in 1988.
