Over 200 ears listen, as twenty nimble fingers scurry along 176 piano keys! But the keys are not the whole story. To do its job properly, a concert grand needs lots of parts: there’s the cast iron frame, the lid, the strings, the hammers, the pedals, and a whole lot more besides.
This concert takes us off for some wonderful new soundworlds, propelled by the sound of music for two pianos and the voices of the Vienna Boys Students’ Choir.
